Join us at Gather on the 22nd March for a delicious night of Greek food!

On Wednesday 22nd March, guests can indulge in a carefully curated Greek menu designed by our Chefs at Gather. From Gyros to Moussaka and Saganaki to Portokalopita, let your taste buds explore Gather’s take on Greek cuisine.

The menu costs £34.95 per person and includes 3 courses and 1 drink (soft drink, glass of wine or beer).

To book phone Gather on 01557 840 206 option 3 and we’ll take a £10 deposit per person which will be deducted from your meal.

STARTERS

Feta Triangani

Crispy fried filo pastry wrapped feta with runny honey, toasted sesame and fresh cherry tomato (V)

Six hour Borders Pulled Pork

Crispy fried pitta bread, Greek yoghurt, fresh mint and dill

Gather’s Mezze Pitta and Breadstick platter

Homemade chickpea hummus, cucumber tzatziki, black olive pate and fresh tomato and oregano dip (V) (GF on request)

Greek style Venison Meatballs

Minced venison meatballs with cucumber tzatziki, pickled gherkins, olives and fresh dill (GF)

MAIN COURSES

Gather’s Chicken Gyros

Roast paprika, thyme and garlic marinated chicken thigh with classic Greek salad, tzatziki, homemade pickles, fries, dressed rocket and pitta

Aubergine and Courgette Moussaka

Layers of potato, mozzarella, aubergine, courgette and roast peppers baked with our homemade tomato sauce and finished with crumbled feta (V) (GF)

Grilled Kirkcudbrightshire Lamb Souvlaki skewers

Oregano and garlic lamb skewers with grilled peppers and onions. Served with fresh rocket, pomegranate, fries and molasses dressing (GF on request)

Veggie haggis and Hummus ‘Kofta’ 

Grilled Macsween’s veggie haggis with chickpea hummus, pickled red onion, toasted pitta, roast garlic and herb mayo, sliced gherkins, iceberg lettuce and green olives (V)

Without garlic mayo – (VG)  

Greek style King Prawn ‘Saganaki’

Flambéed prawns with ouzo liqueur and fresh garlic in a rich plum tomato sauce, topped with feta cheese and parsley. Served with toasted pitta, fries, fresh lemon and dressed salad  (GF on request)

DESSERTS

Vanilla pod ‘Mahalepi’

Greek style panna cotta dessert with watermelon, pineapple and walnuts and an almond shortbread crumble (GF on request)

Honey and mixed nut ‘Baklava’

Classic filo pastry layers of honey, mixed nuts, citrus zest and butter. Served warm with vanilla ice cream

Portokalopita Orange Cake

Baked sweet orange and syrup cake with Greek yoghurt
