Confirmed Host

We are thrilled to welcome Bruce Aitchison as the host for the GG’s Yard Home Nations for MND event at Laggan. A passionate advocate for rugby and a beloved figure in the sporting community, Bruce is known for his infectious enthusiasm and deep love for the game.

As the founder of Happiness is Egg Shaped, Bruce has brought his energy and positivity to rugby clubs, events, and audiences across the country. A former player and experienced coach, he has a wealth of knowledge and an unmatched ability to engage and entertain. His natural charisma and storytelling flair make him the perfect host for this special charity evening, where we come together to raise funds and awareness for MND.

Expect an evening filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and inspiring stories, all led by Bruce’s signature warmth and passion.

Kenny Logan

We are delighted to welcome Kenny Logan, a celebrated figure in Scottish rugby, to GG’s Yard on the 21st March for an unforgettable charity night. Known for his impressive career earning 70 caps for Scotland, Logan was a key player in the national team, renowned for his powerful presence on the wing and his skill as a goal kicker.

He was instrumental in Scotland’s Five Nations Championship victory in 1999 and represented the British & Irish Lions during their 1997 tour of South Africa. Logan’s club career was equally noteworthy, with stints at teams like London Wasps and Glasgow Warriors, where he showcased his exceptional talent and leadership on the field.

Since retiring from his rugby career, Kenny has brought his passion and charisma to support the fight against Motor Neurone Disease (MND). This special evening promises inspiring stories, entertainment, and the chance to contribute to a worthy cause. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet one of rugby’s greats while making a difference!

Simon Shaw

We are thrilled to welcome Simon Shaw, a legendary name in English rugby, to GG’s Yard on the 21st March for an inspiring charity night. Renowned for his remarkable career spanning over a decade, Shaw earned 71 caps for England, establishing himself as a towering presence in the second row with his exceptional line-out skills and physicality.


Shaw played a pivotal role in England’s 2003 Rugby World Cup triumph and represented the British & Irish Lions on three tours, including the historic 1997 tour of South Africa. His illustrious club career saw him excel during his time with the Wasps, where he became a fan favourite and helped secure multiple Premiership and European titles.

Andy Powell

We are delighted to welcome Andy Powell, a Welsh rugby icon, to GG’s Yard on the 21st of March for an unforgettable charity night. Known for his powerful ball-carrying and dynamic presence on the field, Powell earned 23 caps for Wales and was a key figure in the national team’s success during the late 2000s.

A standout performer in the back row, Powell played a crucial role in Wales’ 2008 Grand Slam victory and was selected for the British & Irish Lions tour of South Africa in 2009. His club career saw him represent top teams across Wales, England, and France, including Cardiff Blues, Wasps, and Sale Sharks, leaving a lasting impact wherever he played.

Andy Powell

We are honoured to welcome Geordan Murphy, an Irish rugby legend, to GG’s Yard on the 21st of March for our Home Nations for MND event. Renowned for his exceptional skill, creativity, and leadership, Murphy earned 72 caps for Ireland and was a key figure in the national team’s success throughout the 2000s.

A dynamic fullback and wing, Murphy played a vital role in Ireland’s Six Nations triumphs and was selected for the British & Irish Lions tour to New Zealand in 2005. His club career was spent with Leicester Tigers, where he became a club icon, winning multiple Premiership and European titles and later transitioning into coaching. His influence on the game remains strong, both on and off the field.
