Gather

What’s On – Gatehouse of Fleet Gala

For guests, staying with us between Sunday 1st August 2021 until 8th August 2021, make sure you visit at least one of the events taking place at the Gatehouse of Fleet Gala. We are sponsors of the Gala and we’re so pleased to see the Gala back – it is a great community event in Dumfries & Galloway.

The Gatehouse of Fleet Gala is packed with a busy line up of activities for visitors to enjoy all week long.

When does the gatehouse of fleet gala start?

At 1.50pm on Sunday 1st August, the Gala Queen complete with entourage and bag piper will lead a procession to celebrate the start of Gala Week.  There will then be an official opening of the Gala where you can bring your own table and chairs to the park to watch.

What sort of activities?

The week features daily activities to keep you entertained and to showcase the wonderful town in South West Scotland. You can join a historical walking tour of the town most mornings of the week. There will also be golf, a talent show, a children’s pet show, guided hill walk and much much more…

Is the gatehouse of fleet gala just for children?

Not at all, there are plenty of activities and things to do for adults.  We love Cally Gardens and on the 6th August, they’ll be hosting an open day.

How can I get a programme?

You can get a physical programme in shops in Gatehouse of Fleet or click the button below for a digital version.
