GG’s Yard wedding venue is a world-class location for couples looking to tie the knot in Scotland. GG’s Yard Open Days are a great way to see this beautiful venue for yourself.


Formed from a 250-year-old farm steading, this stunning converted barn features original stone walls, rustic wooden beams, large windows and timeless furniture, creating a neutral backdrop for couples to style their special day.


Viewing this beautiful venue is usually reserved for those who book; however, GG’s Yard hosts open days throughout the year, giving couples the chance to explore the venue and see the space for themselves. It’s a great chance to get a first look and feel for the venue and its unique spaces, as well as visiting everything that Laggan has to offer onsite including the Sea View Snugs and self-catering accommodation, Gather Bistro and GG’s Yard itself.

Venue Spaces

GG’s Yard wedding venue is known for its unique spaces, including the Grand Gallery, Bridal Room, Whisky Boom, Bar and lounge areas.

It was built with space and light in mind which makes the venue feel generous yet comfortable.

Seating up to 200 guests during the day with the addition of 100 evening guests, GG’s Yard can suit large parties or intimate gatherings.

This exclusive use venue is set up perfectly for couples to enjoy on their special day, with a team on hand to help in whatever way they can.

Wedding Packages

GG’s Yard offers a range of winter wedding packages to suit smaller weddings. The packages include catering, reception drinks, wedding cake, as well as access to the venue and accommodation options.

GG’s Yard wedding venue is located at Laggan, Gatehouse of Fleet, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, DG7 2ES.

Our open days usually run from 1pm to 4 pm and are free to attend. There’s no need to book, just turn up on the day for a look around.

During your visit you will have access to our Grand Gallery, Ceremony Wing, Brides Room, Whisky Room, Byre Lounge and Bar area.

Travel and Accommodation

GG’s Yard is located on the outskirts of Gatehouse of Fleet, Dumfries and Galloway. The venue is easily accessible by car and has ample parking on site. For those traveling from further afield, the nearest train station is Dumfries, which is approximately a 45-minute drive away. There are also several local taxi firms that can provide transport to and from the venue.

For couples looking to stay overnight when visiting, we have several accommodation options at Laggan. Our Sea View Snug accommodation is located on site and offers a range of amenities and upgrades including hot tubs.
