Introducing The Murray Arms

We’re thrilled to announce we have added the boutique accommodation The Murray Arms to our portfolio of accommodation.

When will The Murray Arms open?

The accommodation will reopen on Thursday 16th March 2023 with its beautiful new look and style!

Will it be open to the public or just wedding guests?

The Murray Arms will be open to anyone who would like to stay in Gatehouse of Fleet and not just for our wedding guests. If you’re planning on visiting our stunning part of the world and looking for a place in South West Scotland, get in touch to book a room!

What can we eat?

The Murray Arms will be operating on a bed and breakfast basis. Our Laggan Chefs will be creating a beautiful breakfast for guests staying with us. For those looking for lunch and dinner options, Gather is just a short drive away!

Will there be a bar?

There will not be a bar but if you’re looking for a tipple why not head over to Gather? Gather features an extensive wine, beers, cider and cocktails menu!

HOW WILL THE ROOMS LOOK?

We are giving The Murray Arms a complete new look and can’t wait to show you it! The rooms be transformed into 14 uniquely styled spaces; three twin rooms, one single room, three family rooms and seven king size rooms.

Similarly to GG’s Yard the Murray Arms interiors will portray a feeling of modern Scottish undertones. With colour pallets set to compliment each other the rooms will be assembled with rich textures and earthy hues. Soft yet atmospheric lighting will carry through the building to create a warm and welcoming ambience. The historic association with Robert Burns will be remembered in elements of wall art positioned carefully within the building. Stone flags will run throughout the bottom floor to create a more traditional look that’s beautiful yet robust. Mirrored areas will fabricate an added feeling of space and light in areas which currently feel darker.

did you know?

Did you know that The Murray Arms has a famous link? Robert Burns famously drafted ‘Scots Wha Hae’ at the Hotel? So, we are keeping the reading room as a nod to the poet! The Robert Burns Reading Room will be an ideal space for local businesses in need of meeting room space!

Can I hold an event at The Murray Arms?

If you’re looking for a venue in Gatehouse of Fleet to hold a private function, wake, meetings with the use of its lounge and dining/entertaining space.
