Gather

Gather named as one of the top 100 romantic restaurants across the UK

The online booking system OpenTable has announced that our beautiful bistro Gather is one of the UK’s most romantic restaurants!  The list has been created by analysing over one million diner reviews and describes the restaurants as ‘quintessential Valentine’s Day dining experiences’.

Nestled into the hill and overlooking the Solway Firth, Gather offers diners beautiful views of the sea and countryside. For those looking for a romantic dining experience, Gather will be open on the 14th February and will be serving a delicious Valentine’s themed specials menu.

Vicki comments ‘we’re thrilled to have been included in the UK wide roundup of top 100 romantic restaurants.  When we were designing the building and menu, our diner’s experience was absolutely paramount. We’re lucky to be situated with stunning views and the restaurant capitalises on this. In addition to our setting, we wanted our evening guests to have a different experience to our daytime guests and so offer different napkins,  turn the lights down and even have table lamps to create a more romantic setting”.

Duncan explains ‘we couldn’t agree more that Gather is one of the most romantic restaurants. We’re also honoured to be the only restaurant in Southern Scotland included, putting our region on the map for both its food and beautiful location. Our menu, aesthetics and setting create the most perfect date night experience’.
